According to a new "exclusive" from Variety, Netflix is working on a new live-action Pokémon series.
It's apparently still in the stages of "early development" and while no details are currently available about the plot, Lucifer co-showrunner and executive producer, Joe Henderson, is expected to be the writer and executive producer.
Netflix or Henderson's representatives have not responded to this news, so nothing is official just yet, although as highlighted by Variety – Netflix "has made itself the home" of multiple Pokémon animated series in recent years.
This latest report about more live-action pocket monster adventures follows on from the Detective Pikachu star, Justice Smith, mentioning back in May, how he didn't think a movie sequel would happen:
"I don't know if it's going to happen. I think we have to just kind of bury our hopes. I don't think it's going to happen."
