Nintendo have released the version 11.0.0 firmware update for the Nintendo Switch, bringing some important additions to the hybrid. No, we still don’t have themes or folders, but Nintendo have added some other rather fundamental features that, honestly, should have been in the system for a long time- but hey, better late than never.

For starters, Nintendo Switch Online now has an icon on the home menu in the bottom bar. It’s completely red, standing in stark contrast to all the other white icons, so it may bug some people. Meanwhile, Nintendo have also added the ability to transfer video files and screenshots from your Switch to your computer or smart devices via both USB transfer and QR code.

Prioritizing downloads has also finally been added, while you can now also enable automatic downloads of backed up cloud save data to make switching back and forth between multiple Switch consoles easier and more seamless. Several user icons have also been added, as has a new Trending feature on the user page.

You can check out the full update notes below. The update is live now.
