We are back with everyone’s favorite thing: skullduggery. We’re digging into the muck to unearth the latest rumor, which is that a new Drawn to Life game will be imminently announced for Nintendo Switch. Drawn to Life was originally an IP of the now defunct developer 5th Cell; THQ eventually became the owner, but when that company filed for bankruptcy back in 2013, 505 Games came in and swept up the rights. 505 Games has not made any official announcements about what is being circulated as Drawn to Life: Two Realms, but mounting evidence is making this rumor seem more like an inevitability.
The first piece of evidence is a rating from the Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee for the new game. Spotting ratings in foreign markets is usually a good indicator for a game heading to regions beyond, but in this instance there’s another smoking gun. Take a look:
For those not in the know, the Drawn to Life series revolves around the player creating assets to use in-game for their custom hero. On DS this was accomplished via the touch screen, on the Wii using the console’s motion controller. They were certainly some fun games in the spirit of series like Scribblenauts (which 5th Cell was also the original creator), so it will be nice to see if some of the old magic can be recreated with Two Realms.
