It’s a tired old tale at this point, but for those who may not have yet heard it: Wii U had a lot of great games that many people didn’t get to play. The failed system had quite a few titles that were true standouts and thankfully Nintendo has been slowly but surely re-releasing many of them on Nintendo Switch. The next game to get this fresh lease on life will be Pikmin 3 Deluxe when it launches on October 30. After that? It will be Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury!
This version of Super Mario 3D World (which we loved) is set to bring a number of tweaks and additions to the table. First, there will be Amiibo functionality (which is unknown at this point) facilitated by new Cat Mario and Cat Peach figurines. Second, an entire new mode dubbed Bowser’s Fury is being inserted into the experience (which Nintendo has also not defined). The much-loved multiplayer from the original game is back, but this time players will also be able to connect online.
