The final categories and nominees for The Game Awards 2020 have been revealed, and The Last of Us Part 2, Hades, and Ghost of Tsushima are leading the pack with an impressive number of nominations across categories. In the Game of the Year category, alongside those three, also nominated are DOOM Eternal, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and Final Fantasy 7 Remake (sorry, Half-Life: Alyx). The upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 is, of course, not eligible for this year’s awards.

No game has received as many nominations as The Last of Us Part 2, which has been nominated 11 times across all of the 10 categories it was eligible for, with Ashley Johnson’s portrayal of Ellie and Laura Bailey as Abby both being nominated for Best Performance.

Meanwhile, Hades is not far behind with 9 nominations, while Ghost of Tsushima has received the nod seven times. Final Fantasy 7 Remake follows with 6 nominations, with Half-Life: Alyx, DOOM Eternal, and Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout each receiving 4 nominations.

PlayStation is the most publisher with the most nominations for the year, with a total of a whopping 22 nominations. Xbox and Supergiant Games follow with 8 nominations each, then Square Enix, Devolver Digital, and Activision with 6 nominations each, then 5 each for Valve, Nintendo, Riot Games, and EA, and then Bethesda with 4.

A new category, Innovation in Accessibility, recognizes developers who’re pushing the envelope in a bid to make gaming accessible to larger and wider audiences through features and innovations in both software and hardware. The nominees here include Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, The Last of Us Part 2, Grounded, HyperDot, and Watch Dogs: Legion.

You can check out all categories and their nominees below.

The Game Awards 2020 will also play host to several world premieres, updates, and reveals, like every year. While Halo Infinite is confirmed to not be appearing, rumours have suggested that we could see the likes of Elden Ring or the rumoured Silent Hill reboot.

The Game Awards 2020 will air on December 10.
