Zero Strain Heads to PS4 and Xbox One August 12, Nintendo Switch August 13

Zero Strain

EasyAsiaSoft have announced they will be bringing Kaio Meris’ top down bullet hell shooter Zero Strain to consoles.

Originally launching on Windows PC in 2019, the game is inspired by “MOBA elements.” Players pilot “constructs” in top down arenas, each construct having three weapons and a passive ability that players must balance their offence and defense with.

Players must take down waves of foes and dodge even more waves of bullets. Dealing damage to foes can power-up your weapons via a charge-system. However, the game does not utilize any cool-downs on abilities or weapons.

You can find the console trailer below.

You can find the full rundown (via Steam) below.

But don’t get too carried away. Zero Strain’s shoot em’ up DNA is in full effect. Enemies defend themselves and require a mix of strategies to take down. Bosses shrug off mindless spamming and demand careful observation and reaction. Bullets fill the screen and force well-timed dodges to avoid them or well-aimed shots to shoot them down. You’ll need to balance offense and defense at all times.

At first you’ll struggle, but before long, you’ll be slinging around enemies and unleashing perfectly timed weapon combos in a spectacular dance of destruction!

  • Multiple ships to master, each with their own unique weapons and abilities.
  • Challenging bosses that reward careful planning and quick reactions.
  • Fast gameplay. No cooldowns. The only limit is your own skill.

A controller is highly recommended for this game.

Zero Strain is available on Windows PC (via Steam), August 12th in the west on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and August 13th on Nintendo Switch. In Japan, the game launch consoles (bar Xbox One) August 20th.
