Devolver Digital and Broforce Developer Free Lives Announce “Reverse City-Builder” Terra Nil

Terra Nil

Devolver Digital and developer Free Lives (Broforce) have announced ecological “reverse city-builder” Terra Nil.

As stated in the press release, the game is about restoring a desolate wasteland into a vibrant ecosystem. Through open-ended strategy, cultivate biodiversity, fix the climate, and recycle the buildings you used to get there along the way.

Create meadows, rivers, and even used controlled burning to encourage the growth of forests across procedurally generated maps. Restore the flora, fauna, weather, and the planet. The game also boasts hand-painted environments, and a “meditative soundtrack.”

You can find the reveal trailer below.

Finally, a playable demo will be available during Steam Next Fest – running from June 16th to 22nd. As with prior years (then known as the Steam Game Festival), the demos will be available only for a limited time. There will also be developer livestreams, and the chance to chat with developers about the games.

Terra Nil is coming soon to Windows PC via Steam.

You can find the full rundown (via Steam) below.

Terra Nil, from eco-warriors Free Lives (Broforce) and recycled publisher Devolver Digital, presents players with the task of environmental rejuvenation.
