Pēc atbrīvošanas Nopietns Sam 4, publisher Devolver Digital has paziņoja its acquisition of developer Croteam. The relationship between both companies goes back a long way with Gathering of Developers publishing the first Nopietns Sam. When some members of the former went on to establish Devolver Digital, its first projects were HD versions of the first two Nopietns Sam spēles.
With his partnership – which the two companies refer to as a “marriage” – there’s quite a lot in store. This includes Talos princips 2, an original IP from Croteam and its incubator studios, and even more Nopietns Sam titles. Devolver Digital noted that Croteam would keep its creative freedom while the publisher “gets to keep making dumb recommendations that Croteam just ignores – we prefer it that way.”
