CHAOS;HEAD NOAH western release on Steam cancelled due to Valve’s policy on adult content

CHAOS;HEAD NOAH

Spike Chunsoft announced they are not publishing CHAOS;HEAD NOAH for PC like originally planned due to Valve’s guidelines on adult content.

The game’s Steam port is cancelled due to Steam’s “guideline-required changes to the game’s content” and Spike Chunsoft believes they cannot release the game in such a way – that it would not meet their standards.

Spike Chunsoft is looking into alternative stores to release the game uncut, and will announce something later.

CHAOS;HEAD NOAH was supposed to release for PC via Steam in October alongside the CHAOS;HEAD NOAH / CHAOS;CHILD Double Pack — which is still apparently coming to Switch and remains “unaffected” by this policy.

Part of the Science Adventure visual novel / adventure game series, NOAH was originally released in Japan on the Xbox 360 back in 2009, and later got ports for PSP, smartphones, PS3, PS Vita, and finally Switch. This is the first time the game has been officially released in English, while fan translations have existed.
