The fourth wave of the Fire Emblem Engage Expansion Pass will be arriving early next month, Nintendo has announced.

The arrival of the upcoming wave was announced via a new video, which we’ve included below. As mentioned at the end of the video, Wave 4 of the Expansion Pass will be arriving on April 5th. Interestingly, however, the description mentions that it will be arriving on April 4th. “Continue your journey on the Continent of Elyos with Wave 4 of the Fire Emblem Engage Expansion Pass DLC, available April 4!”, the description reads.

New content included with this new wave is a new story scenario – the Fell Xenologue, new locations, new characters, new maps, and additional class types.

Fire Emblem Engage was released in January of this year for the Nintendo Switch. As can be read in our review of the game, we were quite happy with its classic Fire Emblem mechanics, its new Engage system, the game maps, and its overall presentation.

“The other area where Fire Emblem Engage really shines is map design’, Nathan Birch wrote in his review. He added, “While early battles are relatively straightforward, taking place in your standard castle and village settings, after a certain point, you’ll find almost every map has a unique gimmick. You’ll have to make your way through the dark by lighting lanterns, navigate across a series of rising and falling tidal pools, avoid oncoming avalanches and exploding lava balls, and more. While Fire Emblem Engage begins on a relatively forgiving note, make no mistake, this game gets tough. Even on standard “Classic” difficulty, later battles can become real tooth-and-nail struggles. The game offers some ways to mitigate that challenge, including the ability to save anytime and rewind turns should you make a mistake, but even with that, your strategizing skills will be tested.”
