Ghosts of Tsushima: Legends Brings Co-Op This Fall

Time to become a legend.

Ghost of Tsushima: Legends has just been announced, which is a online co-operative multiplayer mode that will be released for free for Ghost of Tsushima owners later this year.

Ghost of Tsushima: Legends is a separate mode that doesn't follow the main character Jin or his companions, but instead on four warriors that are seen as legends by the people of Tsushima. While Ghost of Tsushima is an open-world title where the player explores the island and becomes immersed in its people and history, Legends is based on Japanese folk tales and mythology and is built for cooperative combat and action.

Players will be able to play with their friends or via online matchmaking between 2-4 players and choose between four classes: the Samurai, Hunter, Ronin, or Assassin. All of the classes have unique abilities and advantages compared to the other classes, but that's going to be revealed closer to release.

If it's just you and a buddy, you'll be able to play co-op Story missions that escalate in difficulty, while the four player Survival mode will have a Horde Mode of sorts where the players will struggle to survive new Oni enemies with supernatural abilities.

After the launch of the Story and Survival missions, there will be a four-player Raid that will send players after a "brutal, terrifying enemy", which sounds pretty cool. They could go full camp and have players fight against Godzilla, but that would be too badass I think.

Ghost of Tsushima: Legends will arrive for PS4 owners later this year. For more information, stay tuned to TechRaptor.

What do you think of this news? Would you rather have singleplayer DLC? Do you think this is needed for what was a single-player only experience? Let us know in the comments!
