RUMOR: The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword Might Come to Switch

It was recently discovered that Nintendo has filed a bevy of trademarks relating to The Legend of Zelda series, with many assuming it has something to do with the franchise’s upcoming 35th anniversary in 2021. While Nintendo hasn’t said anything about the milestone (nor the 35th anniversary of Super Mario that we’re all currently living through here in 2020), it hasn’t stopped fans from wondering what the filings could be pointing towards. Well, if Amazon UK is anything to go off of, one potential thing might be the release of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword on Nintendo Switch!

Nintendo Life snagged this screenshot of a product listing on Amazon UK’s website that is now no longer functioning (see for yourself). However, what was there has gotten tongues a-wagging, with many wondering if Skyward Sword’s coming to Switch could be the first of an array of Zelda titles that might be launched in celebration of the series’ anniversary. With Pikmin 3 Deluxe on its way, there are only a handful of Wii U games that have yet to transition to Switch, including a couple of Zelda bangers in The Wind Waker HD and Twilight Princess HD. Nintendo has issued no statement in regards to this alleged leak, but if that changes you’ll hear it here on Nintendojo!
