It isn’t every day that a 26 year-old game gets both an official English translation and international release, but that’s the case when it comes to Irem classic Undercover Cops. Originally releasing on SNES exclusively in Japan back in 1995, Undercover Cops was a visually striking beat ’em up that came to arcades first in 1992 and then was ported to SNES three years later. The game was slated to come to North America in March of 1993 according to issue 58 of Nintendo Power, which ran a preview of Undercover Cops in anticipation of its launch. Alas, that release was canceled, but now Retro-Bit Gaming and Limited Run Games have stepped up to the plate to finally bring the game to the shores of North America and Europe!
