Since the release of the GTA 6 trailer, fans have been busy trying to figure out the secrets of its storyline, while one particularly eager fan got his girlfriend to sign a legal document so that he can play the game non-stop when it comes out in 2025.
Twitch and Kick streamer xQc, however, will go as far as to pay $1 million (£800,000) to play it before anyone else.
That grabbed the attention of Ned Luke, the voice of Michael in GTA 5, who said ‘that dumbass’ should send him the money instead.
During a recent stream xQc said he wouldn’t miss the launch of GTA 6 for anything, and he’d pay $1 million (£800,000) to play it one day early.
Although he could be joking, xQc shouldn’t have any problems coughing up the money, as he signed a two-year $100 million (£80 million) deal with streaming platform Kick this summer – and is one of the most popular streamers in the world.
When Luke, who often livestreams playing GTA 5, got wind of xQc’s bold statement, he offered his services in a tongue-in-cheek kind of way.
‘Tell that dumbass to put the million in my account… I’ll get the game for him a day early… Promise. Non-refundable direct deposit required,’ he tweeted.
That’s not the first interaction between the two either, as a couple of years ago Luke gave xQc some advice when the latter had trouble finishing a heist in GTA 5.
Luke quoted one of his own lines from GTA 5, saying: ‘Slow and steady, Q, slow and steady.’
