Motive Studios is largely known for Star Wars: Battlefront 2 (2017) and Squadrons, and reports are showing that they will allegedly also be in charge of a new Dead Space game, bringing back the series after years. Now, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s director, Eric Baptizat, has joined forces with them on a currently unannounced title. Baptizat is well known for also handling Black Flag and Origins, two positively received entries in the long-running franchise. With his move to Motive Studios, there is anticipation with regard to what he could possibly be working on, and his involvement there could bring a new wave of games to the studio’s catalogue.
Baptizat’s previous work on positively received third-person titles might be a sign of the Dead Space title’s quality, with it presumably set to be a full reboot of the series, rather than a continuation of the original trilogy’s protagonist Isaac Clarke’s story. EA is still yet to report on anything regarding a new Dead Space title, though there is also a Star Wars action game already in development under Motive. There is a lot of reason to be excited regarding the unannounced project, largely because of Baptizat joining the team at the studio to create a game, with his expertise in the third-person genre a reason to have hope in their next title.
