Destiny 2: How to Get Lorentz Driver Exotic and What It Does

Today, Bungie released Destiny 2's new Season, and it comes with a very interesting Exotic weapon to collect from the Battle Pass for all players. Season of the Lost is Destiny 2's longest Season yet, which means that getting the weapon will not prove to be difficult for those players who did not purchase the Deluxe Edition for Beyond Light or the new Season on its own.

How to Get Lorentz Driver in Destiny 2 Season of the Lost

As a tradition, Bungie always adds a new Exotic weapon that players can get with every Season, and of course, Season of the Lost includes a gun that shares a common theme with the Season. The Lorentz Driver Exotic is a linear fusion rifle that recalls Arbalest more than it does Sleeper Simulant, and players can get it from the Battle Pass at different levels – including its Stable Prototype ornament coming at Battle Pass level 100.

Players who own the Deluxe Edition for last year's expansion, Beyond Light, will be able to obtain the new weapon from the get-go by simply opening the destinations menu and scrolling to the new Season's tab. Under the Season 15 tab, there will be a new Destiny 2 Battle Pass available, and players who own the new Season's pass will be able to claim Lorentz Driver right away at rank 1.

Players who don't own the pass shouldn't worry, though, as the weapon will become available again at rank 35 in the upper part of the Battle Pass, meaning that everyone can get a copy of it. The weapon will come at the players' current Power Level.

What Lorentz Driver Does

For starters, with Lorentz Driver being a linear fusion rifle for the Energy slot, players should expect it to become a good choice for PVE because of the seasonal mods for Unstoppable Champions. Then, on top of good stats, Lorentz Driver has a perk called EM Anomaly. This perk is unique to this weapon, and it causes precision final blows to create implosions that pull nearby enemies towards it, damaging them.

Furthermore, the weapon comes with the Exotic perk called Lagrangian Sight, which automatically targets enemies even from behind walls or obstacles. When killing marked enemies with precision blows, players can collect weapon telemetry from the ground – which manifests as golden crystals. Collecting the telemetry grants bonus ability energy, like Elemental Wells, and collecting 3 of them without dying provides Lorentz Driver with extra damage for a long duration.

Destiny 2 is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
