Port Royale 4 Sails To Next Gen Consoles in Late September

Port Royale 4 Will Be Heading To The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S In Late September

Developer Gaming Minds Studio and publisher Kalpyso Media first announced that Port Royale 4 would be heading to the next generation consoles in late July this year. The release at that time was scheduled for 10th September 2021. The companies were excited for the release as it promised a host of features for players to enjoy. Today, the company announced that due to unforeseen circumstances, Port Royale will launch on the Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 on September 24th, approximately two weeks later than its original date.

The next gen versions of the game boasts a stunning 4k world for players to explore, cross-gen save capability, real-time cloud rendering and will include both Standard and Digital Deluxe Editions. The Digital Deluxe Edition includes exclusive gear for fans such as four lighthouses and blueprints to five parks that will set player settlements apart.

In Port Royale 4, players set sail across the expansive ocean to fight for supremacy in the 17th century against colonial rivals such as Spain, England, France and the Netherlands. Players can appoint leaders, establish trade hubs, sail historically authentic ships and of course, engage in tactical naval warfare against their enemies. The fight for power is a tough one on the high seas and players must upgrade their gear, weapons and use tactics to defeat their rivals.

The game also offers a ton of content as there are four single player campaigns that follow each major colony.

Port Royale 4 is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, as it launched in May on the platform.
