Fortnite dove into Season 4 with a massive, Marvel-themed crossover event for players. Fans get to collect skins of their favorite superheroes, battle against Doctor Doom, and even save Baby Groot in Fortnite. One of the additions that was added for this super season were mythic items associated with some Marvel Characters.
Season 4 altered the Fortnite map to add Marvel-themed changes, including four mythic items that Marvel fans will surely want to have for themselves. The first is Groot’s Bramble Shield, which is very similar to the vaulted Baller shield. The second mythic item is Silver Surfer’s Board. The last two items are Doctor Doom’s Mystical Bomb and Arcane Gauntlets. Each of these items requires that players do a series of specific things to get them in-game.

Between his shield, the sapling rescue, and Groot’s Awakening challenges, this tree-hero is front and center in Fortnite‘s Season 4 opening week. Groot’s shield is a slower version of the original Baller shield. It heals the player, but has a 25-second cool down. To get it, players are going to have to be quite accurate shots and take down some drones.
In a game of Fortnite Battle Royale, players need to head for one of the Avengers’ ships. Drones will be flying around overhead, and players need to take them down. While the drop rate of the shields have not been listed, it will take a few good hits to be able to nab one. For best results, take as many shots as possible. Once the coin drops, players can pick up the shield for themselves.
The Silver Surfer, whose skin just leaked for Fortnite Season 4, also has an item in the mix. Players can get his board, but the item is extremely rare with a low drop rate. It can be used to boost players into the sky for brief periods, allowing them to float back down gracefully. And players can get it exactly like Groot’s shield. Just land at one of the Avenger’s ships and get a weapon. Shoot down drones until the Silver Surfer Board drops.
The Mystical Bomb sets things on fire, hitting players caught in the inferno 60 damage per hit. The Gauntlets can launch players into the sky, allowing for quick escapes and fast map movement. In order to get these two items, Fortnite players will have to defeat Doctor Doom. Doctor Doom is usually found in Pleasant Park, in the football field. He will drop each item, so make sure to grab them as soon as he is dead.
Hopefully, players will see a lot more of these mythic items as Fortnite‘s Marvel-themed Season 4 continues, but these four are the only ones currently available.
