Wasteland 3‘s Don’t You Be My Neighbor sidequest sends players to look into a noise complaint coming out of the Sans Luxe Apartments in Downtown Colorado Springs. After entering the apartment of interest, fans will encounter three Irv clones, and indeed they pack a tremendous punch. Fortunately, it is possible to entirely circumvent the Irv clones fight in Wasteland 3, and players that are not finding success in confronting these enemies head-on should certainly consider doing just that.
To start, fans that wish to completely avoid the battle with the clones will need to have party members with the following Wasteland 3 skills: Level 4 Sneaky Sh*t, Level 3 Weird Science, and Level 4 Nerd Stuff. For full clarity, a single character with all three of these skills is technically enough to bypass the Irv clone fight, but it is perfectly suitable to have them split across three different squad members in Wasteland 3.

Once a Wasteland 3 player has identified the characters with the aforementioned skills, they should use the one that has Level 4 Sneaky Sh*t to disarm the tripwire that is found just before the area with the clones. When that is done, the party member with Level 3 Weird Science needs to be moved to the clone machine at the top-right corner of the room where the Irv clones are circling. With proper timing, this can be done without alerting any of the clones, and the following video provides a visual demonstration for fans that would like one:
Now all a player must do is interact with the clone machine and use Level 3 Weird Science to study the data output. They should then repeat the aforementioned sneaking process to get the character with Level 4 Nerd Stuff to the clone machine and then select the option to destabilize the clones. This will cause the enemies to completely disintegrate, allowing RPG fans to freely disable the machine turret and collect the data from the computer terminal near the center of the room.
After that is done, players are instructed to confront Irv with their discovery, and this NPC is located at the book store in the Downtown Colorado Springs market. During the conversation with Irv, fans will have to decide if they want to recruit him, which will send him to Ranger HQ where he will make clone pets in Wasteland 3, or if they wish to dismiss him and be done with him completely. While the clones that Irv creates are certainly not as powerful as the ones from the fight detailed in this guide, recruiting him is still recommended.
Wasteland 3 is out now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
