Towards the end of the game, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered players will have the opportunity to attain one of the game’s rarest artifacts, the Ring of Life. This item allows the player to cast the Life spell without needing magicite, a boon that can be incredibly useful in dire straits.

Under normal circumstances, Crystal Chronicles Remastered requires players to find a corresponding magicite in order to cast a spell, but there are rare magicite ring artifacts that bypass this need. With these in hand, players will be able to start any dungeon with a spell readily available.

Of the base level magicite rings, the Ring of Life is one of the most difficult to obtain. In order to get it, players will need to have access to the Conall Curach level (first available in year 4) and have already gathered three drops of Myrrh from it. This means that this ring won’t be attainable until year 8 at the earliest.

The Ring of Life is a random drop from defeating the boss of Conall Curach, the Dragon Zombie. In order to have a chance to get this ring, players must beat the Cycle 3 version of the dungeon and score at 301 bonus points or more in single player while doing so. The bonus point requirement does change in multiplayer, though, requiring 325 points with two players, 370 points with three players, and 406 points with a full caravan of players. With that in mind, this goal is easiest to achieve with two or or three players, but completely possible with just one or four.

In order to maximize bonus points gained throughout the level, players should make sure to pay close attention to their Bonus Objective at the start of the level. Performing well here will net a maximum of 100 points if done correctly, and the rest of the points will need to come from defeating enemies, picking up items, and opening chests. It should be said that reaching the required number of points doesn’t guarantee that the Ring of Life will be available in the rewards screen at the end of the dungeon, but instead just gives them a chance to get it.

Only one life ring will appear in the rewards screen at a time as well, meaning those wanting to get the item for multiple characters or players have quite a bit of grinding ahead of them. Still, the Ring of Life is particularly useful for Crystal Chronicles Remastered‘s Spell Fusion since Life is an important spell in many combinations.
