Announced back in 2016 and crowd-funded through Fig, inXile’s Wasteland 3 has had quite the journey in development. It launched less than two weeks ago for PS4, Xbox One and PC, garnering heaps of critical praise in the process. Some of it has been highlighted in a new trailer, which can be seen below.
Wasteland 3 is the story of Team November, a Ranger squad dispatched to assist Colorado’s Patriarch in exchange for aid in Arizona. Unfortunately, a vicious attack leaves the squad with a handful of survivors. It’s here that the player is drawn in the bizarre and, at times, disturbing quest to apprehend the Patriarch’s three wayward children.
Among the many things that Wasteland 3 was praised for is its reactiveness – oftentimes, you won’t see the impact of certain decisions until several hours later. Overall, it will take more than 50 hours to finish the game with several different endings to unlock. For more details, check out our review of the PC version here.
