Red Hook Studios have announced the Early Access release date for Darkest Dungeon II, 2021 on the Epic Games Store.
Announced back in February 2019, the new trailer offers little new information. If the narration is to be believed, the corrupting effect of the darkest dungeon has spread out into the wider world. The trailer- if representative of the game- appears to be 3D with heavy cel-shading to evoke the original’s 2D drawn sprites.
We also see some of the monsters players will be fighting against. It also appears the Hero classes from the original game (and their designs) will be returning. These include the Man-at-Arms, Plague Doctor, Highwayman, Grave Robber, and Occultist.
