Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers seems to have a Western release date at last. It’s out on February 23rd 2021 for PS4, PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch under the name “Persona 5 Strikers.” An unlisted video for the announcement recently went live (and was subsequently removed) but you can check out a mirror here.
Developed by P-Studio and Omega Force, Persona 5 Strikers is a hack and slash action RPG with brawling akin to Dynasty Warriors. However, one can also utilize Persona for different skills, with Joker still capable of using numerous Personas at once. You can create new Personas through fusion. Some features, like the Confidant system, are missing.
You can still have a party of four members and dungeon crawling still relies on using stealth to avoid foes (with the Alert Meter also making a return). Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers was met with generally strong sales when it released in Japan earlier this year so it should be interesting to see how it fares in the West. And of course, this will be the first time that a Persona 5 property is available for PC players. Stay tuned for more details on it in the coming months.
