This year finally saw the release of Cyberpunk 2077, which offered two very different experiences, one on the PC and then the other on consoles, that was very stark. 2077 has, for pretty much this entire console generation, lingered and seems like it’s touched tons of things in its marketing and cross-promotion, even a few unlikely places. One such place is Kojima Productions’ Death Stranding.
The latest updates sees several Cyberpunk 2077-themed materials, including some cosmetics based on the game like Johnny Silverhand’s sunglasses, a new bike, holograms with SAMURAI and Trauma Team logos and a robotic arm that can be equipped. It’s not all cosmetics, though, as there is also a new hacking function that will allow you stun some enemies and stop other vehicles.
The update, for now, is apparently only for the PC version of Death Stranding and is live now. The game is also available on PlayStation 4, but no word on when or if this content will come to that platform.
