Following leaks of its box art, San Diego Studio has officially announced MLB The Show 21. As promised back in 2019, it will be the first title in the franchise to release outside of PlayStation platforms, coming to Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One along with PS5 and PS4. Check out the announcement trailer below featuring Fernando Tatis Jr. as the new cover athlete.
Though no gameplay was showcased, the developer has confirmed that cross-platform play will be available at launch. It’s worth noting the Standard Edition on Xbox One and PS4 will cost $59.99 while the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions will retail for $69.99. This is nothing new for publisher Sony which has been pricing many of its titles for the same figure.
MLB The Show 21 is out on April 20th and can now be pre-ordered, which nets players 1 Gold Choice Pack. Details on the Collector’s Editions, like the Digital Deluxe Edition, will be revealed on February 3rd. Stay tuned for more details and updates in the meantime.
