Blizzard Entertainment recently confirmed that fans shouldn’t expect Overwatch 2 or Diablo IV this year.
Activision Blizzard – the parent company of Blizzard Entertainment proper – recently held one of their annual earnings call. In the call, the company said they do not expect Overwatch 2 or Diablo IV to launch in 2021 (thanks Geoff Keighley).
While Diablo IV has had several content previews and updates since its reveal back in November of 2019, Overwatch 2 hasn’t really gotten any updates or content previews since its reveal during the same BlizzCon, in 2019.
Both Diablo IV and Overwatch 2 are expected to be showcased during Blizzard’s next annual Blizzcon, which got cancelled in-person due to COVID-19 and delayed to February of this year. You can read more about BlizzCon 2021 here.
