Nintendo have officially announced The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD for Nintendo Switch during today’s Nintendo Direct.
While the game had been previously leaked [1, 2], the announcement reveals the game uses both motion controls with joy-cons; and purely by buttons. The sword controls are handled by tilting the right analogue stick while attacking.
Special Joy-Con controllers will also be available.
The game takes place at the earliest point of the series; featuring the birth of Hyrule as a land far beneath floating islands in the sky. Players must fend off a terrible awakening evil threatening to destroy the world.
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD launches July 16 on Nintendo Switch.
