Legacy of Kain, a dormant series, might just see another entry in the future. Thanks to a Podcast from Special Nick, who has previously accurately predicted other reveals and events, there may be a newly remastered version of the title. The acclaimed action-adventure series has not seen a new entry in almost two decades, with its last entry having been released on the original Xbox and PS2 consoles. The video claims that the source of information also revealed another potential Quake reboot, another beloved franchise. With E3 already done, there are still a few more potential events at which a new Legacy of Kain Remastered title could see an announcement, from GamesCom to The Game Awards, where Perfect Dark was revealed to be getting another game last year.
Legacy of Kain is set in a fantasy world and will likely be a wonderful addition to the new generation of consoles, and due to the length between the game and its last entry in the series, there is a lot of room for visual and gameplay enhancements. Many old franchises are returning, like the aforementioned Perfect Dark and a remake of System Shock, so Legacy of Kain would not feel too out of place amongst new releases in the coming years.
