Aliens: Fireteam – What’s the Release Time?

Fans are cautiously optimistic about Aliens: Fireteam Elite, Cold Iron Studio's combat-heavy entry into the Alien franchise. They have been burnt before by underwhelming, and deeply flawed titles like the infamous Aliens: Colonial Marines.

Unlike Alien: Isolation, which focused more on the horror elements of the terrifying Xenomorphs, Aliens: Fireteam Elite was created to fit more into the action mold, like the famous sci-fi franchise's second film. Fans excited over this prospect don't have long to wait now, and they can find out the exact release time and date for the third-person co-op shooter below.

Aliens: Fireteam Elite Release Date and Time

Friends can start unloading rounds into the Aliens: Fireteam Elite Xenomorphs when the game releases on August 24, with a global release time of Midnight EDT. This means the West Coast will actually receive the title on August 23, at 9 pm.

The following lists the exact time the multiplayer titlereleases for every major city's timezone:

Region Release Date and Time
Vancouver August 23, 9pm
Los Angeles August 23, 9pm
New York August 24, 12am
São Paulo August 24, 1am
London August 24, 5am
Paris August 24, 6am
Moscow August 24, 7am
Hong Kong August 24, 12pm
Sydney August 24, 2pm

These times only refer to the digital release. Those who have pre-ordered online might have to wait a little longer to jump into the action. Some lucky fans have actually received the physical edition days in advance of the official release. There are even multiple Twitch streams up-and-running, showing off the gameplay if people want to get a better sense of how it looks.

As there are no patches or updates live, those who received an early copy for PS4 or Xbox One will have to wait until it officially releases in their timezone to receive the free next-gen upgrade.

The day one patch will add a new horde mode, adjust weapons, AI, and difficulty, fix some technical glitches, and add more localization options. Even if players do get the sci-fi shooter early, they might want to wait until its official release to play it, when it will be running at its best.

While waiting for the multiplayer title to release, fans can check the Aliens: Fireteam Elite PC system requirements to see if their gaming rig is good enough to run it. 30GB of hard drive space is all fans will need, but the day one patch will take up another 14GB of space.

Aliens: Fireteam Elite releases August 24 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
