It's been a long wait, but Atoraxxion is finally here. Black Desert's first-ever co-op dungeon has officially been added to the game, and you're free to venture into its first section – Vahmalkea.
Black Desert fans have been waiting years for a bit of co-op content, as the game largely revolves around PvP, lifeskilling, or grinding mobs solo. Atoraxxion brings some long-overdue PvE changes to BDO, although you'll need to meet some hefty requirements in order to take on the challenge.

Before heading out to Atoraxxion, you'll need to make sure these three tasks are taken care of:
- Completed questline "Invitation from I"
- Completed either Awakening or Succession questline
- Character is Level 57 or above.
Do all that, and you can start the "[5-person Co-Op] The Last Stronghold, Atoraxxion" mission to guide you towards Vahmalkea.
"The Atoraxxion main questline requires five Adventurers to proceed as it is very difficult for a single Adventurer to complete on their own," Pearl Abyss said. "Additionally, we have added voice-overs to all the major lines for the first time in Black Desert history to help our Adventurers get truly immersed in this content."
Atoraxxion Vahmalkea is largely made of "normal fields," where you'll be able to see other Adventurers that populate the same server. However, when you're ready to fight Apex Lucretia – its final boss – you'll be swept away to an instanced area for you and your party. Die during combat, and you won't have the option to revive. Thankfully, death penalties won't be applied while facing off against the terrifying opponent.
"The ultimate goal in Atoraxxion Vahmalkea is to enter and defeat the final boss. You will need to fight the regular ancient weapons to get items that act as keys to the next area. Progress through each of these areas to eventually reach 'Vaha's Cradle' when the final boss awaits our Adventurers. Also, you can log into an Elvia Realm Server to fight against even more difficult ancient weapons and the final boss 'Apex Lucretia.' Therefore, we recommend getting used to the normal version first before going into the harder Elvia Realm version."
Atoraxxion is finally available in Black Desert – grab a few friends, suit up with your best gear, and prepare for some of the most difficult combat in the entire game.
