Call of Duty: Vanguard Fans Will Be Able to See Its Full Single-Player Campaign at Gamescom 2021
Call of Duty: Vanguard, which will officially be released to the gaming community on November 5th, has been the topic of reports quite frequently lately. Fans of the franchise can expect a whole lot of news about the upcoming game between now and then, and it looks like more specific information will be shared at the upcoming Gamescom 2021.
Geoff Keighley has confirmed that Call of Duty: Vanguard will be featured in Gamescom Opening Night Live event, which is scheduled on August 25th 11 AM PT. “Do not miss the world premiere first play-through of a level from Call of Duty: Vanguard during Gamescom Opening Night Live, with special guests Laura Bailey,” Keighley wrote on social media. He then added that during the event, Call of Duty: Vanguard fans will be able to “see the first raw, real next-gen gameplay” of the franchise’s upcoming title.
PlayStation and Call of Duty have always had their partnerships in place throughout the past couple of games. With that said, fans may see the PS5 gameplay version. However, there is still the possibility that Gamescom will show how Call of Duty: Vanguard will run when played on the newest Xbox consoles.
Looking at how Keighley worded his announcement, it would seem that the gameplay reveal will be centred around the game’s Campaign mode. However, the game’s Multiplayer mode showcase is inevitable, so it should not be that much longer after Gamescom that fans will have the chane to see what that one would look like.
Call of Duty:Vanguard’s Campaign mode will focus on four different playable characters. The story will be all about preventing Adolf Hitler’s successor. This noticeably creative twist should allow its developers to have more narrative freedom that CoD fans would usually expect from a game that is based on historical conflict.
