Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has made its reveal through an in-game event in Warzone. Fans had to scour the map and complete a set of challenges for some bonus loot while racing against a timer that brought about an unknown event.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War‘s developers announced that the trailer would be revealed through the event, leaving everyone racing to complete the Freedom Quest. There are tons of great rewards for players who participate in the event completing each step of the new Warzone contract.

Freedom Quest is thought to be the key to finding the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War trailer. As fans complete each step the music grows more intense driving fans forward from task to task. Overall, the missions are simple but trying to complete them while in the middle of a battle royale adds the level of difficulty needed to be a challenge. Players are recommended to bring their best to the field if they are going to succeed at completing every step.
Step 1 – Collect the Map Code
When players spawn into their Warzone match they will find that the “Freedom Quest” is already active. Their first assignment, collect the map code, comes with a side box to track kills. Players must loot nearby boxes or kill other players to find the intel. Once five pieces are found, the quest will complete and immediately move onto the next step. Players completing the first step for the first time will receive a new Emblem titled “All the Guns.”
Step 2 – Secure the Key
Immediately after the first step is completed players will see a key symbol appear on their mini-map and in the distance. It is unknown if the keys are randomized to each player, but the goal is to find the key and move on to the next step. Simply follow the beacon, claim the key, and gain the experience for the contract. Players completing this step for the first time will gain a Legendary Calling Card named “Ascension.”
Step 3 – Crack the Map Code
This next step is a scavenger hunt. Follow the mini-map to a nearby area highlighted in Yellow. Somewhere in that area is an unopened box, which inside holds a Map Cipher. Players must collect this cipher to decode the map code and move on to the next step. It appears that this segment is randomized as the Map Cipher has appeared in sperate locations for different players. Completing this step for the first time will reward players with a Legendary charm titled “Test Pattern.”
Step 4 – Wield the Weapon
This last step gives players a set of coordinates. Players must travel to the coordinate are using the Warzone map and search for Frank Woods. He will be standing inside a building or in several other hidden spots. The goal is to search through that grid space and try to find him before time runs out. Completing this for the first time will grant players a Legendary Blueprint for the Marksman Rifle titled “Bay of Pigs.”
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is set to release on November 13th.
