As promised, Raven Software has released a new update for Call of Duty: Warzone to nerf the DMR 14, Type 63, Mac-10 and Dual Pistols. Each weapons has been dominating in its own way, the DMR 14 especially, but the update introduces a number of welcome changes. At least, at first glance.
The DMR 14 and Type 63 have had their headshot damage reduced and recoil increased. The Mac-10 has a decreased headshot multiplier while the Dual Pistols now have increased hip fire spread and decreased damage range. On paper, these nerfs seem acceptable but in practice, they don’t seem to be enough.
The Call of Duty: Warzone subreddit is full of complaints about the nerfs along with clips showcasing the DMR 14 and Dual Pistols as still being incredibly potent. Even the Mac-10 remains problematic since a weapon blueprint can reportedly negate the nerf. For the time being though, the DMR 14 reigns supreme for those who really want to win.
The time has come.
