THQ Nordic and Nukklear have announced that the multiplayer mode for aerial shooter Comanche has gone free-to-play in a new update.
Comanche is a multiplayer-focused shooter set in the near future, where players fight aerial battles in high-tech stealth helicopters and combat drones.
The multiplayer currently features five helicopters, four drones, two game modes, and three maps; all of which are included in the free version of the game. Players will still need to buy the game to access the single player content, and will get unique skins for owning the full game.
The update also includes some quality of life, control, and UI tweaks, as well as the Operation Fire Sale mission and a new tutorial. You can read more about the update here, and find the trailer for it below.

The program was a full success, and the Comanche special units seemed unstoppable in their missions.
But then, when the blueprints leaked through a whistleblower website, every group and power, who could afford it, built and modified the Comanche for their own purposes. With that, a new era of helicopter warfare had begun.

Comanche is in Early Access for Windows PC via Steam, with its multiplayer being free-to-play as a “demo.”
