Cosplayer Shows Off Awe-Inspiring Demon Slayer Recreation

The suspenseful adventure anime Demon Slayer has taken the world by storm. The series has quickly become one of the most-watched animes to debut within the past five years and fans have grown excited over the upcoming releases of the franchises, with some coming up with creative cosplays to show their appreciation.

Demon Slayer has grown in popularity thanks to new movies, merch, and even an attraction opening up soon at Universal Pictures. The series recently released a full-length film and is booked for season 2 for the upcoming winter anime season. To celebrate the popular franchise, Cosplayer Saturdayxx posted a stunning recreation of the young Nezuko Kamado, the sister of the main character Tanjiro in Demon Slayer. The cosplay catches the character perfectly: a blend of innocence and power.

The first season of Demon Slayer begins with the gruesome slaughter of Tanjiro's family at the hands of a demon while he is away. He returns home to the bloodshed and in an attempt to save his sister Nezuko, discovers that she has been turned into a demon. While other demons in the show display no signs of mercy or care for human beings, Nezuko still shows compassion for her brother and protects him from other demons or other foes. In an early contact with demon slayer Giyu Tomiok, Giyu recognizes the unusual behavior in Nezuko as well as some skill in Tanjiro and fits Nezuko with a gag of sorts to prevent her from killing anyone.

Giyu sends the brother and sister to a man that will train Tanjiro to become a demon slayer himself. Nezuko is a complex character in the show especially because she cannot speak. The cosplay by Saturdayxx brings a larger personification of the character, keeping in touch with the setting of the show. The cosplayer shows Nezuko at night, which is significant because demons will die in sunlight and are exclusively active at night. The recreation shows Nezuko with the scroll-like gag in her mouth in a moment of poise and planning a possible attack- all including little hints of innocence with a small pink bow in her hair and pink nails.

Anime fans have plenty to look forward to in the Demon Slayer franchise. The series will undoubtedly become one of the next big animes with old classics like One Piece slowing down. The series has broken plenty of new ground in anime with just as much availability and watch time internationally as in Japan. Demon Slayer fans can look forward to season 2, which is sure to be full of new surprises and adventures for the young Tanjiro and Nezuko.
