Cyberpunk 2077 came out at the tail end of 2020, and boy what a saga it ended up being. It’s impossible to sum all of it up in a single article, and at this point most know the score I imagine, but the problems surrounding the game just seem to be never-ending. However, CD Projekt RED isn’t cutting bait, as they will no doubt support 2077 for a long time to come, and a recent leak points to one aspect they’ve been talking about for some time.
As detailed from an anonymous source to DSOGaming, dataminers have discovered some potential information about the game’s upcoming multiplayer. As it stands, we know nothing about the multiplayer mode, only that it’s planned for some point in the future. The new datamine points to a pretty standard Deathmatch, as well as a mode called Heist, though it’s unclear what that would entail. There also seems to be classes here: Solo (unclear if that’s a class or something else), Assassin, Netrunner and Techie. You can read through the full alleged code through here.
As always with leaks, especially of this nature, take it with a grain of salt. It’s unclear, too, how all of this will play out. While CDPR has said that DLC for the game will start coming in at some point in early 2021, they have been quiet on the multiplayer aspect and what that will entail.
