Xur has returned in Bungie’s Destiny 2, brandishing another wave of familiar Exotics. The good news is that almost all of these are worthwhile in some capacity or another. You can find Xur on The Rig on Titan where he’ll remain until tomorrow’s weekly reset.
First up is the Exotic hand cannon Sunshot for 29 Legendary Shards. As one of the launch Exotics, Sunshot is extremely underrated. It fires explosive Solar rounds which can trigger explosions more powerful than the current Dragonfly effect. As an add-clearing weapon, it’s hard to beat and Synergizes well with some key seasonal mods.
Exotic Gear this week includes the Gwisin Vest (Hunter chest), Actium War Rig (Titan chest) and Contraverse Hold (Warlock gloves), each costing 23 Legendary Shards. Gwisin Vest is good Spectral Blades, restoring Super energy for each kill before going into stealth. Actium War Rig is great for auto rifles and machine guns since it reloads a portion of the magazine from reserves overtime.
Finally, despite the nerfs, Contraverse Hold is a good tanking option for Voidwalker Warlock. Along with damage resistance while charging a grenade or Handheld Supernova, it also returns a portion of grenade energy on hit.
