After cutting their teeth on the single player campaign of Star Wars Battlefront 2, Motive Studios recently released their debut project with Star Wars: Squadrons. Following that, in recent days, there have been reports of the studio working on another new Star Wars title, thanks to mention of the same in a now-removed job ad. That, it seems, was made in error.
Taking to Twitter, the developer explained that the listing mentioned a new Star Wars game “due to human error”, clarifying that they’re not working on any such project. They did, however, state they they are working on a new game, and that though it isn’t Star Wars, it’s “pretty special”.
Recently, Motive’s GM Patrick Klaus said that the studio is working on “several unannounced titles”. That said, you shouldn’t expect to see any DLC for Star Wars: Squadrons, with the developers having confirmed that they have no post-launch plans for the game.
Due to human error (hey, it happens!) we’ve seen a lot of speculation. While we’re not working on a new Star Wars project, we are working on something pretty special. Follow us here or check back for more info on what we’re up to! https://t.co/u6oJewebUN
