Muse Games' Embr, a frantic multiplayer offering that sees teams of players rush into burning buildings to fight fires, save lives and salvage loot, has been in early access on PC since back in May of 2020. Now the developer has confirmed an official release date for the full game and it's arriving on Switch, alongside various other platforms, on 23rd September.
As you can see from the trailer embedded above, this one's all about madcap knockabout silliness in levels strewn with all manner of dangerous hazards, inviting teams to work together — either online or in local co-op — in order to successfully tackle blazes and make a name for themselves as the ultimate emergency responders.
The official website has a few more details:
Join Embr, THE Emergency Services Revolution, and become an Embr Respondr today! Fight fires and save lives while climbing the ladder of success, all within the comfort of flexible working hours. Embr's mission is simple; bring über firefighting to everyone, everywhere.
It's time to redefine the firefighting service paradigm and give the power to you – the people – and we'll take care of the pesky paperwork. Everyone should have the opportunity to be a hero, and that's why with just one simple payment, you can become a Respondr today!
As an Embr Respondr you'll answer clients' calls for help, and bring firefighting directly to their door! Break down doors, clear gas leaks and put out fires – no job is too much for an Embr Respondr.
Embr supports crossplay with other platforms and also caters to solo players, enabling everyone to jump into the action and attempt to grab five star ratings across its various fiery hot levels.
Curve Digital's latest has garnered some pretty good reviews so far in its early access form and is currently sat on a very positive rating over on Steam. We're personally getting some serious The Stretchers vibes off Embr's comedic emergency response set-up, so let's hope it's as much fun as that one when it arrives on Switch in a month's time!
