Every AAA Nintendo Switch Game Confirmed or Rumored to Be In Development

The Switch has proven to be an incredibly popular console with a wide range of available titles. Whether players are looking for unique indie gems, Nintendo's massive IP, or remasters of some of their favorite older games, the Switch likely has a couple of games available for everyone. While there are still many games that players are hoping to see announced for the console, like a more expansive virtual console, Nintendo has made great efforts to support the Switch with a lineup of great games.

Many games released on it have already been genre-defining, like Breath of the Wild and Mario Odyssey. However, the company still has a lot more planned for the Switch, including some of its own massive AAA titles and titles from other studios. Whether players are looking forward to some great minigames or a new way to catch 'em all in Pokemon, Nintendo has them covered.

WarioWare Get It Together is a brand new entry in the series known for its frantic minigames that flash by extremely quickly. The newest entry in the WarioWare series promises to have an even bigger selection of party games for when groups to try out while featuring some of the best characters from throughout all of WarioWare's history.

Metroid Dread was a bit of a surprise announcement, especially with how imminent its release is. The game is promising to conclude Metroid's storyline that has been running for decades while also delivering some great new classic gameplay for fans of the series who hope that Metroid Dread will just be the start of a new era of Metroid games.

Super Mario Party on the Switch did not receive the warmest of welcomes from fans and critics alike. Many players thought that the game didn't offer enough content for its full price tag, while others were also disappointed by its lack of DLC content after release. However, Mario Party Superstars hopes to correct this by bundling together some of the fans' favorite games and boards in one package for the ultimate Mario Party experience on Switch.

The highly anticipated Shin Megami Tensei 5 has also been revealed with a full story trailer that has series fans eager to return to the legendary JRPG franchise. Now, fans are just waiting for the Persona series to make a similar appearance on the console.

Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are aiming to bring back what fans love the Switch by remastering two of the most influential games in the series. The remakes promise quite the graphical improvement along with small gameplay adjustments that should help Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl play a little smoother as well.

Pokemon fans can look forward to Pokemon Legends: Arceus, which brings a breath of fresh air to the series by taking it open world. Exactly how the game will approach taking the series open-world remains to be seen, but it is nonetheless an exciting new possibility for the franchise.

Players also have the newest ink-based team shooter Splatoon 3 to look forward to. Nintendo also has not revealed much about the game, but its gorgeous and colorful visuals will undoubtedly benefit greatly from the Nintendo Switch OLED.

Project Triangle Strategy is likely still quite a ways away yet, especially since the title is even still a working title. However, the game did receive a demo shortly after its announcement that got a lot of turn-based RPG fans excited for the newest entry in the genre. Hopefully, fans will get some more news on Project Triangle Strategy sometime soon.

Ubisoft's turn-based shooter Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle was a surprise hit amongst many Nintendo fans. The game combined two unlikely franchises for a new genre that neither had touched before, but it did so surprisingly well. The first game's success has many players hotly anticipating its sequel.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 is one of the most anticipated games coming to the Nintendo Switch. The first game's unique take on the open-world genre brought many new fans to the series and has had a massive influence on the industry ever since. Thankfully, there are some great games fans of Breath of the Wild can play while they wait for the sequel.

Bayonetta is a cult-classic beat 'em up that has enjoyed an explosion in popularity in recent years. The titular character's inclusion in the Super Smash Bros. series as well as the fantastic Bayonetta 2 on the Wii U helping the series get more attention. The third game has been officially announced, but the developers have been silent for quite some time, so hopefully, that will change soon.

Metroid Prime 4 was announced by Nintendo what feels like ages ago. It has been an incredibly long amount of time since Nintendo announced anything about Metroid Prime 4, but the game did reportedly undergo a complete restart of development. However, the company has confirmed that the game is still happening, so fans simply have to be patient.

Rumors of a Grand Theft Auto Remastered Trilogy started circulating recently, and they have included a release on the Switch. The rumors have yet to be verified, but a remastered trilogy would make sense to help Rockstar Games tide fans over during the long wait for Grand Theft Auto 6.

Another trilogy rumored to be getting remastered, Nintendo reportedly has a Metroid Prime Trilogy on the Switch ready to go. If that is true, it seems that the company may just be waiting for Metroid Prime 4 to get a bit closer to release before letting fans get their hands on it.

There have also been rumors in recent months of a new Donkey Kong game being developed by the team that worked on the very successful Super Mario Odyssey. The series has remained relatively dormant since Wii U's Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, so hopefully, this rumor ends up being true.

The Switch does already have Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, but it has been long enough since that game's release that rumors have begun circulating about a Mario Kart 9. A sequel will undoubtedly happen, as the series is a popular staple of Nintendo's IP, so fans will just have to see how long it takes to become a reality.

Fire Emblem enjoyed success on the Switch with the release of Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Recently rumors have begun circulating that a remake of a classic Fire Emblem is currently in development to act as a follow-up while an entirely new sequel is in the early stages of development.

There are rumors that a Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is not only in development to continue the series on the Switch, but that it is pretty close to being finished as well. With the popularity of the series' second entry on the console, it would not be too surprising to see a follow-up arrive so soon. It could also be a great opportunity for JRPG fans to get a solid release ahead of other big releases in the genre.
