There are several different side quest archetypes in Far Cry 5: Prepper Stashes, Stunt Missions, Collectible Missions, and side stories. Each one of these types of quests has a couple of unique high reward missions. This guide will focus on the side missions with the best rewards and where to start them.

Man Cave – Prepper Stash

Rewards:

  • Cash
  • Three Perk Magazines
  • Custom 2012 Kimberlite TCZ Pickup Truck

This Prepper Stash is in Sunrise Threshing, east of Fall's End. You will find a garage surrounded by an eight-foot fence and barbed wire. To get into this stash location, you will need to back up a pickup truck to the fence and hop over. After you hop over, find the yellow lock and destroy it. With the gate now open, back up the truck and hitch the trailer. Move the trailer forward and exit the vehicle. There should be a hatch on the ground where the trailer was, and entering this hatch will get you into the Stash room.

Baptism Of Fire – Stunt Mission

Rewards:

  • Uncle Sam Vehicle
  • $2,000

This stunt mission requires you to drive a flaming car through a water checkpoint till you reach a lake. It's located south of Rae-Rae's Pumpkin Farm and starts when you interact with the Clutch Nixon memorial. Once you complete this driving challenge, you will be rewarded with a unique muscle car called Uncle Sam.

Plus, you will get a sweet $2,000 reward for completing this side quest. It's a perfect blend of daft-fun gameplay and worthwhile rewards. The Baptism of Fire side quest is a must-play.

Out Of This World – Side Story

Rewards:

  • Magno Pulser Weapon
  • $2,500

This story side quest is one of the stranger quests that you will do. It starts when you talk to Larry at the Parker Laboratories location and is only available after you complete the Close Encounters sidequest. After completing a few simple tasks for Larry, something weird will occur. Afterward, by walking into Larry's alien contraption, you will find a Magnopulser on the ground. The Magnopulser is a unique weapon that lets you push and disintegrate enemies.

Gone Squatchin’ – Prepper Stash

Rewards:

  • Cash
  • Three Perk Magazines
  • Chinook Salmon Magazine
  • Vinyl Crate Collectibles

This Prepper Stash has a bunch of great rewards. While there isn't a truck in this stash house, the perk magazines and assortment of other goodies make this a worthwhile stash house. The stash house is in a small cabin in a ravine northwest of Langford Lake.

You can use the perk magazines to upgrade your character, and the other rewards will make you cash-rich and help you complete collectible quests. It's a valuable place to visit and definitely worth the trek.

Descente Dans La Folie – Stunt Mission

Rewards:

  • 200 Resistance Points
  • $700
  • “Bailout” Buggy

This stunt race is southeast of Hope County Jail. The race is an off-road race and it can be rather challenging. If you succeed, you will unlock the 'Bailout' buggy, an excellent off-road vehicle. In addition to unlocking a brand new car, you will also get some cash and resistance points. That makes Descente Dans La Folie one of the best Stunt Missions you can do in Far Cry 5.

Quiet on Set – Side Story

Rewards:

  • 200 Resistance Points
  • $850
  • Omega Outfit

The Quiet on Set quest does not have the highest payout, but it does give you a new outfit. If the omega outfit does not sound rewarding, perhaps knowing that this quest is about the Blood Dragon movie sequel might be. Not all rewards are about the dough, and this quest is rewarding in itself.

You can find this quest in the Grimalkin Radon Mine in Faith's region. You'll recognize it by the green screens and film production equipment. Talk to Guy Marvel to start this quest.

Prairie Oyster Harvest – Side Story

Rewards:

  • $2,500
  • Testicle Festival T-Shirt

The Prarie Oyster Harvest is one of the more disturbing quests alongside Testy Festy. You can start the quest in the Spread Eagle bar in Holland Valley after you finish Testy Festy. After you complete a series of rather disturbing tasks, which may involve bulls testicles, you will get a Testicle Festival T-Shirt and $2,500. Sometimes rewards come at a high price, and this quest proves that point.

Turn The Tables – Collectibles

Rewards:

  • 200 Resistance Points
  • $900
  • New Radio Music

Collectible quests take much longer than regular side quests due to the amount of traveling you have to do to find every collectible. Even though they take more time, they're typically the best quests to prioritize because they have the best rewards. In Turn the Tables, you will have to find ten Vinyl crates around Hope County.

The quest starts when you talk to Wheaty at the Wolf’s Den. Once you find all ten crates, you will have new tunes that you can listen to on Wheaty's radio station. It's a subtle reward, but it is unique and makes driving around Hope County better. It does not hurt that it pays and gives you resistance points.

Testy Festy – Side Story

Rewards:

  • $2,000

Unfortunately, the testicle-related quests are not limited to the Prarie Oyster Harvest. The Testy Festy side quest is incredibly violent and also involves hurting bulls in a way that you do not want to. That said, the amount of money you make for this easy quest is staggering. I suppose somebody wants those bull testicles, and they are willing to pay the price for it. Either way, the Testy Festy quest has one of the highest monetary rewards in the game and will help you buy that new weapon or car you have been eyeing.

Spray and Pray – Stunt Mission

Rewards:

  • Stars and Stripes Plane
  • $2,000

The Spray and Pray stunt mission will unlock the Starts and Stripes plane, which will radically change how you travel around Hope County. Having a plane is not only loads of fun, but it will let you travel around quickly. On top of that, this mission also pays out a solid $2,000, which is very helpful. To beat this stunt challenge is to fly through the checkpoints without running out of time. You can find this stunt mission just south of Rae-Rae's pumpkin farm.
