FIFA 21 is out now on PC and current-gen consoles, but like nearly every other major game releasing in the final months of 2020, it will be getting a dedicated next-gen release as well. EA have confirmed the final launch date on Twitter, and though it’s not quite a next-gen launch title, it’s not too far off from being one either. FIFA 21 will release for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on PS5.
As EA have previously confirmed, free next-gen upgrades will be supported on PlayStation and Xbox through EA’s Dual Entitlement program, but only until FIFA 22 is out, at which point the free upgrades will no longer be applicable.
FIFA 21 is currently available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC (and on Switch as another Legacy Edition). It will also be releasing for Stadia at some point, but doesn’t yet have a specific launch date.
In our review, we said FIFA 21 “is solid and still immensely playable, but very stale, and rather unnecessary.” You can read our full review through here.
