While we still don’t know when Grand Theft Auto 6 will be coming out, it’s recently been announced that the first-ever trailer for the game will be unleashed soon. Rockstar Games has said that it will be releasing it “early December.”
To celebrate Rockstar’s 25th anniversary
This was written in a post on Twitter/X by the GTA developer, in conjunction with the fact that Rockstar will be turning 25 next month. Sam Houser himself signed off, saying that the team is “very excited” about showing off the upcoming trailer.
Easily one of the most anticipated games of this – or even the previous – generation, Grand Theft Auto 6 has been talked about for years. While the tweets don’t go into any details about the teaser, they do share delights about the studio reaching this birthday milestone.

Beginning in late 1998 – forming out of a small, Scottish developer called DMA Design (now Rockstar North) – Rockstar has made a huge impact on the gaming world. Creating some of the biggest and most immersive titles in history, the company is known mainly for the GTA and Read Dead Redemption series.
Indeed, the recent tweet goes on to say that “Rockstar Games was founded on the idea that video games could come to be as essential to culture as any other form of entertainment.”
Speculations about a release date for GTA 6 have been around for quite some time. The developer has managed to remain fairly tight-lipped about the game, with the exception of the big leak that occurred in 2022.
Perhaps the upcoming trailer will reveal a launch window, but who knows at this stage. In any case, many will be excited at finally getting to see official footage of Grand Theft Auto 6.
