Gamer Demands GTA 6 Update After Rushing The Stage On A German Game Show

A Grand Theft Auto superfan stormed the stage of a popular German game show to demand that the host ask when GTA 6 is coming out.

Schlag den Star is a German TV game show that airs live on Saturday nights. This week, an audience member who identifies himself as "Taser" ran up onto the stage while the host was chatting with a contestant, German reality star Evelyn Maria Burdecki, and tells him he would like to know where the hell GTA 6 is. "I'm still waiting for GTA 6 for eight years" Laser says. The host, German comedian Elton, tells Taser that he has no idea when GTA 6 is coming out and that it isn't up to him.

Elton has experience as both a presented and a voice actor. His voice can be heard in the German version of Halo 3, which may explain why Taser thought he might have some inside information about the next Grand Theft Auto. Elton and Burdecki are both taken aback by Taser's sudden appearance on the show, but the two remain calm and entertain Taser until security shows up to escort him off of the stage.

"GTA 6 is a computer game, isn't it?" Burdecki asks. "Exactly!" Laser says before returning his focus to Elton and demanding that he address the camera — and supposedly Rockstar Games — with the world's most important question: Where is GTA 6?

Last week, voice actor Dave Jackson shared on Facebook that he's playing a character named Captain McClane in an upcoming GTA game. He later clarified that he isn't sure if the game he's in is GTA 6 or an unreleased chapter of GTA 5, presumably GTA online. Rumblings of GTA 6 have steadily increased over the last several months, including a leak that suggests it will have an evolving map when it releases sometime in 2025.

That might be bad news for Laser, who was eventually escorted off of the stage by security. Just before the show got back on track, host Elton wondered allowed if he'd perhaps been paid by Take-Two to rush the stage, perhaps as some kind of publicity stunt. Let's hope that's not the case, but keep an eye out for more GTA "streakers" in the coming months.
