Game retailer GameStop has announced some of their plans for the coming holiday season.
The retail chain has confirmed they will be closing all of their U.S. based stores on Thanksgiving (which lands on November 26th), providing a relief for their employees during the annual holiday. This is a change of pace for the company, where they previously kept their stores open so customers could get an early chance at coveted Black Friday sales.
The company has also confirmed they’ll have early Black Friday sales, where they’ll offer “more pre-Black Friday sales events than ever before.” Specifics are coming at a later date, and these sales will naturally be focused on their online store.
The company also noted their newly revamped mobile app, which naturally lets you order products from their online store – and for the first time this year you’ll be able to select Same-Day Delivery for items, but only in select areas.
