In a rather brief teaser this evening, Arc System Works revealed the first DLC fighter for the recently released Guilty Gear Strive. As most people suspected, the president's right-hand man Goldlewis Dickinson will be jumping into the fray very soon. Complete with his amazing haircut and large coffin, Dickinson is certainly bringing the thunder.
I'm not quite sure what to make of his fighting style, but we won't have very long to wait until we can try Goldlewis out. Season Pass owners will get access to Dickinson on July 27, 2021. If you would rather buy fighters on a per-character basis, Goldlewis will be up for individual sale on July 30, 2021.

The trailer also gives us a general timeline for when the other DLC fighters will be jumping in. Next month, the second fighter will pick up arms and knock some thugs around. My money is on Happy Chaos, the antagonist of Strive's story mode that I was shocked wasn't unlockable in-game. After that, there is one more character planned for 2021 before Arc System Works takes a small break for the year. 2022 will see us get another fighter, two new stages, and an additional story chapter alongside two more characters.
With the main roster containing only 15 characters, this season pass will conclude with a total of 20 fighters in the game. That's a relatively small roster, but initial sales of Strive have seen the game reach 500,000 units sold. We're bound to see Arc System Works create a second season, especially if the planned cross-play support for PC and PlayStation gets finalized.
