Tails of Iron is an upcoming release from OddBugStudio and it plays like a mishmash between Hollow Knight and Dark Souls albeit with rats at the epicentre, donning beanies, crowns, and other assortments of gear while they flail around with spears, swords, and axes.
It had a tennuous release date for 2021 which was recently narrowed down further to September. As of today, it has a concrete release date – September 16. Get ready for a month of mischief with the mischief as you fight back against the invading frogspawn with your rat brethren, narrated to the tune of Doug Cockle's sultry voice which you may recognize from The Witcher.

On top of this, there's a new trailer showcasing the gameplay, Geralt of Rivia's narration, and some of the boss fights. Tails of Iron has parrying and rolling much like Dark Souls but it also features Hollow Knight's metroidvania-like open world design and its save and healing systems, that of benches and a refillable meter of healing juice to chug.
Tails of Iron is currently set to launch on Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. It's published by United Label, the same as Eldest Souls, and is available for wishlisting, but not pre-order.
There's no curernt price tag just yet but you can peruse the Steam page to find out more.
