Once you've completed the main storyline of Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, you'll be able to access the post-game content. New quests, dens, features, and more are all added to the game after the story's conclusion, and two types of monsters will likely catch your eye — Deviant Monsters and Elder Dragons.

These two types of monsters are the rarest ones to find in the games in terms of eggs, as well as some additional rare-to-find monsters (such as Rajang), so here's our quick guide on the best ways to get your hands on these coveted monsties.
How to Find Super Rare High Rank Dens
Most Deviant Monster and Elder Dragon eggs (including Rajang) can only be found in the single-player game by finding Super Rare High Rank Monster Dens, with different eggs being native to different regions. These dens have a diamond appearance, making them stand out from the other types of monster dens. The chance of these Super Rare dens spawning is less than 1%, so if you're purposefully targeting them, it may take you a while.
Tip: Utilizing a monstie with the Nest Search Riding Action can help you achieve this more efficiently. Head to the map of your choice and use the Nest Search function to scan for nearby Monster Dens, which will then appear on your map. The range isn't amazing, so you'll likely still have to run/fly around a bit to search every corner of the map, but it definitely helps.
Super Rare Multiplayer Expedition Quests
The more reliable way of getting these super rare monstie eggs is to take part in Super Rare Expedition Quests in the multiplayer section of the Quest Board menu. There are certain Expedition Quests that will yield Deviant Monster, Elder Dragons, and Rajang eggs if you use a Super Rare ticket, with different quests offering different eggs.
These are the expedition quests you want to look out for:
- (Explore) Jungle Den
- (Explore) Woodland Den
- (Explore) Snowy Mt. Den
- (Explore) Desert Den
- (Explore) Flowery Den
- (Explore) Volcanic Den
You can join someone else's Super Rare Expedition Quest (with a gold square beside the quest name) to avoid needing a ticket yourself, or you will have to get your own ticket to create a quest room.
You can purchase Super Rare tickets from Melynx Inc. for 100 Bottle Caps each, or you can sometimes find them from treasure chests during multiplayer expedition quests.
Easy to Get Deviant And Elder Dragon Monsties
There are a few exceptions to the hard-to-find nature of Deviant Monsters and Elder Dragon eggs. The following three monstie eggs can be found rather easily (in comparison to the others), although they can also be found in Super High Rank Monster Dens and during Super Rare Expedition Quests just like the others.
- Nergigante: Available before post-game content from Terga Monster Dens and Rare High Rank Monster Dens during post-game content.
- Pink Rathian: Available from Rare High Rank Monster Dens in Pomore Gardens during post-game content.
- Azure Rathalaos: Available from Rare High Rank Monster Dens on Hokolo Island.
