Microsoft announced the arrival of a new major update to the Xbox operating system earlier this month, bringing several new features.
We had to wait a little longer for what we wanted, but the June update arrived with exciting new features, many of which have been requested by players for quite some time. Accessibility is one of the most essential characteristics that Xbox has implemented in order to grow its console community.
Because Xbox wants the platform to be a barrier-free environment, this new update provides substantial additional choices in this area to facilitate communication among all Xbox gamers. Following that, we’ll go through the most important changes coming with the June Xbox update.
Main Changes
- Voice-to-text transcription: By activating voice-to-text transcription, players may have all of the words uttered by a group of individuals turned into text that appears in an adjustable superposition in the top left corner of the game.
- Text-to-voice synthesis allows participants to write in the group’s text chat and have a simulated voice read it to the rest of the group.

- Xbox app for Android and iOS: Gamers can use the app to quickly share game clips and pictures, communicate with friends, monitor their achievements, and even play games from their console through remote control.
- Groups: They let you to make lists in the guide for easy access to your favorite games and applications. There is now a new “Move groups” button incorporated into the guide’s “My games and apps” section that allows you to rearrange the order of your groups. To utilize it, open the guide, then click My Games and Apps, then Move Groups to reorganize your groups.
- Family and Kids settings: On Xbox, family settings allow you to control how others engage with your family’s games. They continue to create family settings on Xbox in order to be as distinctive as today’s families and to meet their requirements. To that end, they have made it easier for your console to review and approve your children’s requests to play with people on other platforms and PC.
Children who use Xbox Kids accounts as part of a family group may now ask their parents for permission to play games like Minecraft with those who use other gaming services. Parents can accept or refuse their child’s request by using the Xbox Family Settings app or by using the Xbox directly.
