Latest Dead By Daylight Patch Fixes Pyramid Head’s Butt

Pyramid Head (or The Executioner, as he's called in the game) has been the center of controversy in Dead by Daylight ever since his arrival thanks to the Silent Hill crossover last summer. Although Pyramid Head's presence and stature was intimidating, players noted that his best assets were seemingly nerfed between his test build-based promo shots and his final in-game appearance.

What I’m trying to say is that Pyramid Head went from being an entire buffet to being a mere appetizer.

Players noticed the difference, and although Behaviour Interactive denied any wrongdoing and even told Polygon that Pyramid Head's ass-reduction surgery was all just due to a modification to his apron, Dead by Daylight fans have been demanding to eat Pyramid cake for well over a year.

Well, it’s taken a while, but Behaviour Interactive seems to have listened to fans. In the recent 5.1.1 update, there’s a line in the patch notes that will be of particular interest to starving Dead By Daylight players, and it simply reads: “Fixed an issue that caused The Executioner’s rear to be too flat.”

That's right: over a year later, they've finally unnerfed Pyramid Head's ass.

In an email to Kotaku, Marie Claude Bernard at Behaviour Interactive said stood by her earlier statements. "Pyramid Head’s behind was never nerfed. That said, we recently found a bug on The Corrupted outfit. The cloth covering The Executioner had clipping issues which made his butt, well, completely flat. We fixed it and it will be pushed live in our next update on Tuesday.”

You can see Pyramid Head’s restored bubble butt in the replies to the patch notes on Twitter, or basically anywhere on Dead By Daylight’s social media. Cake is definitely back on the menu.

Furthermore, it seems like Behaviour Interactive is keeping a close eye on player reactions to the recent butt-fix. Under the “known issues” section of the patch notes, Behaviour says, “The Executioner's rear may still be too flat." We’ll see what the people say about that.
